Fans will finally see Tanjiro return to the manga world with the new Demon Slayer spinoff, titled Kimetsu Gakuen.
The franchise has officially announced the new spinoff’s coming and dropped its first-ever promo. In no time, a new read about Tanjiro, Nezuko and the rest of the gang will be once again seen.
So, it looks like fans have a lot to wait from this franchise, aside from the upcoming Demon Slayer Season 2.
The New Spinoff Promo
According to Comicbook, the new spinoff will focus on the manga’s main characters: Tanjiro, Nezuko and others.
It will feature a lot of their gag stories as they go on a different journey – their school.
Natsuki Hokami will handle the spinoff series, following the style of most gag manga in the market.
So, if fans are familiar with Naruto’s gag series, they will have the same theme.
This is not the first time that fans are about to see a new Demon Slayer school-themed story.
In fact, it has debuted a number of animated shorts, like the Valentine Day special where Tanjiro suit up for school.
Titled Kimetsu Gakuen Valentine-hen, it was an instant hit to fans when it debuted in Japan.
So, as a new spinoff is coming, it will explore new territories that fans have never seen before.

The New Story Announcement
Meanwhile, Hokami will get the help of the original manga creator Koyoharu Gotouge. Here, fans will see the chibi versions of Tanjiro and company.
Hokami had a short-lived series in Weekly Shonen Jump before, called Hell Warden Higuma, per Crunchyroll. It ran from December 2018 to May 2019 and had three volumes.
Viz released its English version on Shonen Jump+, along with its three volumes digitally.
“Higuma Kagarite is like any other high school student, except for one thing—his family has been charged by King Enma of hell himself to act as his Hell Wardens and return escaped evil souls to hell,” its official synopsis reads. “He uses his Hell Warden abilities to save innocent humans who have been possessed by these fugitive spirits.”
“One day, he meets Ayako, a girl at his school who keeps stealing things but can’t remember why. Ayako’s brother has recently become abusive toward her and her family,” it continues. “Higuma vows to save both her and her brother and to send the demons haunting them back to hell!”
The new Demon Slayer spinoff, Kimetsu Gakuen, will premiere on Aug. 4.
