Fans are now looking forward to seeing the coming of Diamond no Ace Season 4. This show has quickly got the attention of sports anime lovers after dropping three successful installments and intense storyline.
Now that Season 3 has ended in March, all eyes are now on Diamond no Ace Season 4. So far, there are only limited details about the anime’s fourth installment, but fans cannot help but get excited.
The manga’s storyline
The series tells the story of Seidou High, an elite baseball team, and its pitcher, Eijun Sawamura.
Sawamura used to lack in skill, but he later found himself surrounded by a lot of superb baseball players.
Inspired by other players’ greatness, he promised to work hard and become the team’s number one player.
Anyhow, Sawamura has an extraordinary changeup pitch that, although it looks natural to him, is surprising for others.
To show everyone what he got, he wanted to go to a local high school and play baseball with his friends. He also aimed to win more matches.
The manga features the perfect combination of Shonen and sports. It carries a fantastic animation and soundtrack that resonate with its storyline, resulting in a masterpiece.
Season 3 details
The anime’s third season has a total of 52 episodes, covering the manga’s 19 volumes or 169 chapters. With Season 3’s ending, fans are longing to see more of the series, per Epic Dope.
Diamond no Ace Season 4 is expected to continue from the game battle that ended in the previous season. There will also be an intense baseball match after Eijun won.
Originally a Japanese shonen baseball manga, it is written by Yuji Terajima, published by Kodansha, and serialized by Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 2006 to 2015.
On the other hand, the sequel, titled Ace of Diamond Act II, began in 2015.
It was then adapted into an anime, starting on Oct. 6, 2013, and ending on Mar. 28, 2016, Daily Research Plot noted.
The first season featured 75 episodes, while the second season only had 51 episodes, and the third season dropped 52.
Although an official announcement about Diamond no Ace Season 4 is yet to come, fans hope to see more of Sawamura and the rest of the team.
With its success and fans’ expectation, it may take no time before renewal will be made.
If this will push through, then Diamond no Ace Season 4 may be out in 2021 at the earliest or 2022 at the latest.
