Battlefield 2042 has released its PC requirements ahead of the October beta, with the minimum starting with a GTX 1050 Ti, making it a hefty game for upcoming players.
Publisher EA released the PC specs for the much-delayed Battlefield 2042. This comes a little over a week before the start of the official beta testing, which will run from October 8 to 10. From what it seems, the game would need something beefy to run at the minimum and an RTX 30-series card to run at recommended.
2042 requires RTX 3060 for recommended settings
So far, the beta will be available for all platforms apart from the Switch. EA Play members and those who pre-ordered the game can start playing as part of early access on October 6. Pre-loading will be available starting October 5.

Beta phase to include Conquest Mode
Basing on the specs released by Battlefield 2042, the game should need a very chunky PC for players to get the best experience. The recommended requirements need an RX 6600 XT or an RTX 3060, both of which are still hard to get due to the chip shortage. Those who have it will likely find these parts well over their MSRP.
For those who are ok with playing with for minimum, there’s a better chance for most of the population. The 1050 TI requirement should be enough to run the game. The specifications, however, did not detail what kind of output players can expect.
The 2042 beta will include a few extra modes, including the Conquest game mode on the Orbital map. With this map, players can fight for control of a rocket launch site in French Guiana.
Battlefield 2042 moved its release date from October 22 to November 19 due to challenges brought about by the pandemic. The beta will run for three days, between October 8 to 10.
