Political opinions and criticisms are coming in waves as the 2020 Presidential campaign officially kicks off after Joe Biden named his running mate—Kamala Harris.
Attacks from all corners came crashing in after Kamala Harris was named the VP ticket for former VP himself, Joe Biden. President Donald Trump himself already threw comments on the U.S. senator calling her “nasty.”
Meanwhile, Fox News, among others, geared up as it went on “full attack mode” during its Tuesday airing, per CNN‘s report.
Tucker Carlson’s mispronunciation of Kamala Harris’ name
During the Tucker Carlson tonight segment of Fox News, the 51-year-old TV presenter, and political commentator grew angry after his guest, Richard Goodstein, corrected him on pronouncing the VP candidate’s name right, out of respect.
When told that Harris’ first name was pronounced as “comma-la,” he responded, “Okay. So what?”
He then goes on to say:
“So I’m disrespecting her by mispronouncing her name unintentionally? So it begins, you’re not allowed to criticize Comma-lah Harris or Camel-eh Harris or whatever.”
CNN highlights that Carlson does intend to mispronounce “names of people he doesn’t like.” Other media outlets further noted that the Fox News host still mispronounced the senator’s name after being corrected.
Although, he did say that he is “not going to attempt to pronounce Senator Harris’ name ever again,” as he doesn’t want to be accused of being disrespectful.
The New York Times notes that Fox News has declined to comment on Carlson and Goodstein’s exchange.
Refusing to pronounce Kamala’s name correctly when you’re a broadcast « journalist » is racist.

Before being corrected, Carlson started his show describing Harris as “one-dimensional,” and comparing her to time-share salesmans and payday lenders.
“there are time-share salesmans you could trust more than Kamala Harris and payday lenders who are more sincere.”
Other Fox News hosts take on Kamala Harris
Meanwhile, CNN points out that other hosts of the TV news channel also took aim on Harris. News anchor Martha MacCallum pointed out how other leaders urged Joe Biden to pick a woman of color as his running mate, and that this “takes away from some of the selection in some ways.”

Furthermore, during Sean Hannity’s segment, he described the Biden and Harris team up as:
“This pick solidifies what’s the most extreme radical far-left out of the mainstream ticket of any major political party in American history.”
President Trump then jumps in on the show and “continued beating up on Harris,” per the news outlet. Laura Ingraham also threw in her share of aims against Harris when she picked on Biden’s email, entailing his decision to choose Harris as they take on Trump and Mike Pence “to lead this nation.”
In general, there are doubts that Biden didn’t make the Harris choice himself. So Ingraham commented:
Wait, wait, to lead this nation? Wasn’t that you supposed to be on the top of the ticket doing all that leading for us, Joe? You know, that whole presidency then? Come on, man. Even Joe is witted enough to understand that he’s not really going to be running the show if he wins in November.
Other analysts have also picked up on the TV news channel’s “attack” on Harris, following Biden’s running mate announcement. Trevor Noah, a comedian, and political commentator did a YouTube video on this, headlining it as “Trump and Fox News Struggle to Attack Kamala.”
