Queen Elizabeth, allegedly, gave Prince Harry an expensive birthday gift last week.
According to In Touch Weekly, Queen Elizabeth gave Prince Harry an offer that he couldn’t refuse on his birthday.
A source said that the queen is also asking Prince Harry to return to the United Kingdom because she misses him. And the monarch knows that her grandson also misses the country.
“He misses the friends he used to hang out with. They were like brothers. And he doesn’t even have his real brother to call anymore. His birthday brought all of that to light,” the source said.
Queen Elizabeth surprised Prince Harry with a new cottage
As such, the queen, allegedly, decided to gift Prince Harry with a cottage on the grounds of Sandringham Estate. This way, he can always come home without having to worry about where he would stay.
According to the source, the Duke of Sussex is grateful for his grandmother’s gift. And he also wants to be able to split his time between the United States and the United Kingdom.
“He’s hopeful that sometime soon in the future, they can figure out a situation where he spends six months of the year there. He can’t wait for his kids to spend time in the country he knows and genuinely loves,” the source said.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle not relocating to the UK
However, the tabloid’s claims are inaccurate. Queen Elizabeth didn’t surprise Prince Harry with a cottage for his birthday because there’s no reason for her to give him another property.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were gifted Frogmore Cottage for their wedding. And they, reportedly, decided to give it up when they quit their royal duties.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wouldn’t want to be criticized further and they know it could happen if they get a cottage as a gift from the queen.
Additionally, if the queen would give Prince Harry a cottage, this wouldn’t be broadcasted for the entire world to know.
It is not also true that Prince Harry is thinking about splitting his time between the US and the UK. He and his wife are now based in Los Angeles, and this is where they will continue to raise their children.
The downside is that this also means that they would be far away from Queen Elizabeth and the royal family.
