Dirt 5 release date pushed back to November 6
For quite a while now, the release date of Dirt 5 appears to be in trouble. The game’s developer, Codemasters, has initially revealed that the highly anticipated racing game will not arrive on Oct. 9. Instead, Codemasters announced the new release date on Oct. 16.
The delay was announced in August, but the developer did not provide any reason for the delay. However, speculations broke out that Codemasters is twitching the game for an ultimate experience.

Amid the delay, fans will be happy to know that Codemasters has promised to reveal “first looks at new cars and locations, the final car list, more next-gen feature details, and a full reveal of Dirt 5’s multiplayer features.”
Early access available for amplified players
The early access will be available on Nov. 3, assuming that Codemasters will not change the release date. Players will have the opportunity to test the game before it hits the shelves.

Frank Sagnier, chief executive officer at Codemasters, explained the delay. He said:
“DIRT 5 has received widespread critical acclaim, culminating with it receiving the GamesCom 2020 Best Racing Game Award. The revised launch date will allow us to take advantage of the next-generation console launches, which are expected in time for the holiday season.”
The game has come a long way when it initially arrived in the market. Now, the new version is leaving its traditional game elements as it adds a narrative, which is now a common feature on other games. To recall, the previous series focused on standard racing campaigns.
Dirt 5 pre-order is now available
Players who are looking to play on the Xbox Series X can now pre-order Dirt 5. Furthermore, players who are currently using Xbox One can also pre-order the game. But the good news is Dirt 5 will automatically be free on Series X. Likewise, PS4 players who pre-order the game can have a free upgrade for PS5 console.
