Disney Plus app faced a massive outage after episode 7 of the WandaVision series released on Friday. The reason was the rush among viewers.
WandaVision was getting great reception since its debut last month. Perhaps that’s the main reason viewers are going crazy upon every new episode’s premiere. It was proven on Friday when the Disney Plus app faced outages and a total crash in many regions because all the viewers rushed to stream episode 7 as soon as possible.

Downdetector, the outage tracker, reported the big Disney+ app crash within hours of episode seven’s release. Taking the actual figures into consideration, then around 8,000 users submitted their crashing problems.
It was just after midnight when the new WandaVision episode dropped. However, it’s a positive sign for the show, a negative one for the streaming service. Because due to the technical problem, the viewers had to wait longer to stream the latest episode.
Several people also tweeted regarding the problem of app crashing, as you can see above. They said that they weren’t able to stream WandaVision at all as Disney+ wasn’t responding.
The good thing is that the problem didn’t take a very long time. Many users reported, again, that it was solved within hours. Hence, they were able to stream the show properly.
The MCU series stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Scarlet Witch/Wanda and Vision.
The series is also among the franchise’s best-rated entries on Rotten Tomatoes. Initially, it was in a top position upon its release. But then it dipped slightly, and now it’s sitting with the likes of Avengers: Endgame and the first Iron Man installment.
Upcoming MCU content
Meanwhile, the superhero cinematic universe was gearing up for a fresh start after a long pause due to COVID-19 last year. Many of its projects faced massive delays and are still suffering. Some of them are the anticipated movies like Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and Eternals.
However, there is a silver lining also amid the growing pandemic worries. Because WandaVision has finally managed to begin the MCU release cycle earlier this year. It’s the first phase four entry as well. After it finishes all its episodes in March, Falcon and the Winter Soldier will arrive next.
There are upcoming TV shows like Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion, Hawkeye, Loki, and She-Hulk. Ironheart, Armor Wars, What…If?, and a Wakanda-based series are among other awaited titles.
Speaking about future movies, then there are big names like Spider-Man 3, Captain Marvel 2, Thor 4, Doctor Strange 2, Fantastic Four, and Black Panther 2. However, they all might get delayed further due to the virus’s ongoing pandemic and rising cases.
