Disney D23 Fan Expo is officially moved to 2022

Disney D23 Fan Expo is officially pushed to 2022. The company recently announced the news on its Twitter handle on Tuesday morning.

The sad news is the next year’s event now stands canceled altogether. It means no official MCU news from Marvel Studios in 2021.

Sharing the update on Twitter, Disney said that D23 Fan Expo “will be a celebration unlike any other.”

A year after that will be the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. So, they want to make everything big and huge for the visitors and fans.

The Expo will be held on September 9-11 at Anaheim Convention Center in California.

Disney D23 Fan Expo 2022 reveals and speculation

Due to COVID-19, every major entertainment company suffered losses this year. So it is obvious not to take any risk further. That can be a reason for no event at all in 2021.

The Disney D23 Fan Expo will reveal massive announcements for Marvel and Star Wars universe and future projects.

The most anticipated properties are MCU movies and shows. And the company knows what they mean to the fans. Taking that into consideration, the decision eventually pushed the event two years from now.

DC FanDome turned out huge more than a month ago, and everyone loved it. Marvel, however, didn’t do anything which got the fans upset. But now they are going to get hyped, for sure, waiting for 2022.

Marvel Studios officially changes slate till 2022

Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next phases are filled with big projects. Because of COVID-19, they couldn’t be released this year. These include films like Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and Eternals.

As per the new slate, they are now scheduled for May 7, July 9, and November 5, 2021. The theatrical release is still not possible, so it will be interesting what Marvel Studios does later.

The new schedule reveals Spider-Man 3 arriving on December 17 of next year. Then comes Thor: Love and Thunder on February 11, 2022.

Surprisingly, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness will be released after these projects.

By this year-end, WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier are coming on Disney Plus streaming service. Loki then will be released somewhere around next year. There is no official date yet.

Then there are other shows like Hawkeye, She-Hulk, a Nicky Fury-driven series, and Miss Marvel.

Coming back to Disney D23 Fan Expo, then it will be an epic moment for multiple properties. Unexpected Marvel titles may be revealed as well. Speculations will be strong for X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Avengers 5, among others.
