DJ Fat Tony believed he knew why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to leave the monarchy.
Real name Tony Manarch, he said “people’s jealousy” of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drove them away from the U.K. The couple then moved to the U.S. after they officially stepped down as senior royals in March.
Tony was the DJ at the Sussexes’ wedding reception at Frogmore House in 2018.
DJ Tony revealed what pushed Prince Harry, Meghan to leave the monarchy
Tony said it was typical in the U.K. that people would build others up and then try to put them down.
“God forbid, they wanted to live their own life,” he said, via Mirror Online. “I think it’s human nature to be jealous. We shoot things down that we don’t understand.”
He continued nobody understood what went on with Prince Harry and Meghan. Everything was just mere speculation, and they had never discussed anything about it.
So, by the looks of things, people just started to hate them.
Now that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been living their own lives, Tony felt relieved to see them “happier.”
“If you’re doing something you don’t love and you’re not happy doing it, don’t do it,” he explained. “There’s always another option.”
Meghan, allegedly, ignored Camilla’s advice
Meanwhile, Meghan, reportedly, ignored Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall’s guidance about how to deal with rampant media attention.
According to Express, the future Queen Consort invited the former actress to a private lunch before tying the knot with Prince Harry. Allegedly, it was her attempt to help the younger royal adapt to her new life as a member of the Royal Family.
“Meg was really grateful to Camilla, who was very supportive and invited her out for private lunches,” Meghan’s friend revealed. “Particularly around the time of her marriage.”
Fortunately, Meghan listened to Camilla and understood the hardships of being part of the Royal Family.
Like Meghan, Camilla suffered media scrutiny after having a relationship with Prince Charles while he was still married to Princess Diana.
“She was very sensitive to Meghan and provided her with support, advising her to ride out the storm and that it would all pass,” the pal continued. “But ultimately, Meghan didn’t listen.”
Prince Charles, alternatively, said the same thing to his son, Prince Harry.
However, Meghan Markle seemed to be still affected by the scrutiny, telling on the ITV documentary that “not many people asked if she was OK.”
