DJI is launching two new single-handed gimbal, the Ronin S 2 and the Ronin SC 2. These two gimbals, in addition to the Ronin series.
DJI has officially announced the launch of two new products in the Ronin series. The two products include the Ronin S 2 and the Ronin SC 2.
The two products are three-axis gimbals with many Software and Hardware features.
In addition to that, the company is also introducing the Titan stabilization algorithm. This algorithm should optimize the user’s specific shooting style and also will lessen the manual input.
Both the gimbals very light weighted and comes with a dedicated carrying case. Both products are unique. Any user can quickly adapt to the product without making much of a fuss about it.
What is DJI?
Shenzhen DJI is a Sciences and Technology company. It is a Chinese company which is located in Shenzhen.
DJI mostly produces cameras, drones, and gimbals. The company primarily focuses on film making and photography.
DJI is a prominent market leader in the Drone industry. The products are also used by military and police forces.
The company has introduced many series like the Phantom, the Flame Wheel, the Mavic, the Spreading Wings, the Inspire, The Ronin, and more.
The Ronin series of DJI is a series of products such as gimbals for professional filmmaking.
The series only targets the film industry and is built for professional videography and photography. Gimbal is a pivoted support that helps the user to rotate the camera in one single axis.
The Ronin S 2
The Ronin S 2 is a part of the Ronin series. The gimbal weighs only 1.3 lbs because of its Carbon fiber base.
According to DJI, the Ronin S 2 supports a maximum dynamic payload of up to 10 lbs. In addition to that, the gimbal also comes with a 1.4-inch touch screen display.
The display shows settings, camera data and can also transmit a live feed directly from the camera. The display screen is right above the joystick on the gimbal.

After that, the product also has once a software enhancement that is is the SuperSmooth. This feature smoothens the movements while shooting with a tighter lens. Ronin S 2 also includes a follow focus wheel.
Not only this, but the gimbal is also compatible with Arca Swiss and Manfrotto plates. The gimbal can use the active track feature without attaching a smartphone on the top of the camera. The price of this gimbal is 849 USD.
The Ronin SC 2
The Ronin SC 2 weighs only 2.65 lbs and is a bit smaller version of Ronin S 2. DJI built this gimbal for smaller mirrorless cameras.
Also, it can support a payload of up to 6.6 lbs. It has a built-in battery that can last up to 12 hours.
In addition to that, 15 minutes of charge time can give two hours of battery usage. It has fast charging mechanism with pre-programmed filming modes. The user can use modes like Panorama, a vertical mode, and timelapse.
Not only this, but Ronin SC 2 has and an additional feature known as the time tunnel. This feature can capture a hyper-lapse while performing a 360° roll. The price of the gimbal is 499 USD.
In conclusion, the latest gimbals of the Ronin series by DJI come with many features. DJI will also be selling a pro combo package, which will include many more accessories.
These accessories will consist of the RavinEye image transmitter, separate focus motor, and the phone holder.
