Although UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson implemented a four-week national lockdown, filming will not be affected. Furthermore, movie productions have followed safety protocols amid the skyrocketing of coronavirus cases. In ensuring safety protocols, the production crew arrives two weeks ahead of schedule to make sure quarantine is in place. Just like other films, the crew must undergo coronavirus testing before heading to the set.
“Doctor Strange 2” cast
Aside from Benedict Cumberbatch, who will reprise his role as Doctor Stranger, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will join the cast. She is said to be responsible for creating the madness in the multiverse.

Furthermore, Chiwetel Ejiofor confirmed to join the cast back in June. He is theorized to play Doctor Strange’s “old friend-turned-enemy.” There are also speculations that he will become a reluctant ally of Doctor Strange as well.
Although the producers remain tight-lipped on the storyline, former director Scott Derrickson confirmed a major change in the plot. Back in the Comic-Con event, Derrickson stated that they would be “making the first scary MCU film. The synopsis reads:
“After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Dr. Stephen Strange continues his research on the Time Stone. But an old friend-turned-enemy puts an end to his plans and causes Strange to unleash unspeakable evil.”
