Domino’s Pizza now accepts Bitcoin. Well, that’s according to a new website claiming to facilitate the transaction via the lighting network.

Lightning Pizza says you can make a purchase “using the Lightning Network at a discount.”

It says every order comes with a five per cent discount and that fees will cost less than one US cent.

“Lightning Pizza is the first nation-wide retail service powered by lightning payments meant to spread utility and spur awareness and adoption,” the website says.

“The Lightning Pizza stands on the shoulders of giants, special thanks to LND labs, Satoshi, etc.”

The high profile founder of cryptocurrency exchange Binance Changpeng Zhao has acknowledged the development on Twitter.

“Pizza for Valentine’s? Maybe not today, but certainly tomorrow and onwards. It’s spreading,” he said. M
