Donald Trump is very outspoken about almost anything, but he doesn’t speak so much about his youngest son, Barron.
Donald Trump has gained millions of supporters and critics when he became the president of the United States. It also put his family life under the spotlight. However, only very little is known about his relationship with son Barron.
Donald Trump and Barron’s relationship
Donald Trump’s grown-up kids Donald Jr., Ivanka, Tiffany and Eric are often seen joining the POTUS in rallies and other outings. But his youngest child, Barron, are often missing.
Just recently, the POTUS and FLOTUS tested positive for coronavirus. Both have since recovered. First Lady Melania Trump shared that their son, Barron, also contracted the virus. But he has already recovered and has since tested negative.
That’s why many are wondering about Donald and Barron’s relationship especially that he used to downplay COVID-19 and even approved of the kids going back to school.
In previous interviews, Trump admitted that he was not a hands-on dad. In 2005, Trump told Larry King having children is great if one has money. He also added that he didn’t change his children’s diapers.
Melania confirmed that Trump didn’t look after Barron. But she also added that it wasn’t an issue for her. The FLOTUS said, “I’m okay with it.”
Trump a protective dad to Barron
In 2017, comedian Kathy Griffin shared photos and a video of her holding a replica of Trump’s bloodied and decapitated head. Barron reportedly came across the graphic photos and was traumatized prompting the POTUS to slam Griffin.
“Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

POTUS proud of his youngest child
Body language expert Judi James also observed Donald Trump’s action whenever he is with his 14-year-old son. According to James, Trump is a proud father to Barron.
“Trump’s body language signals with his son Barron suggest he is a bit of a ‘Lion King’ papa, proudly presenting the boy to the world while hinting he is a chip off the old block,” James told Express after examining their photo taken during his first term in the Oval Office.
James added that Trump was displaying confidence in his son by allowing him body language independence.
However, Michael Wolff claimed in his book Fire and Fury: Inside The Trump White House that Trump is an “absentee father” especially to his youngest child, Barron.
Ivana Trump confirmed that Donald Trump is not a hands-on dad. But the president is a “loving father” and a “good provider.”
