Donald Trump is doing well and showing no signs of symptoms after contracting coronavirus. The POTUS even said it was a blessing in disguise that he caught COVID-19 because he discovered how Regeneron works.
Donald Trump announced last week that he and Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19. He was hospitalized for days and was already back in the White House, where he filmed a video to give an update about his condition.
Donald Trump on catching coronavirus
Donald Trump released a new video of him on Wednesday, where he talked about his condition and how Regeneron worked for him. The president said he had no symptoms and was feeling better and would want the medicine to be available to the public for free.
“I think this was a blessing from God that I caught it. This was a blessing in disguise. I caught it, I heard about this drug, I said let me take it and it was incredible the way it works,” he said, referring to Regeneron.
Trump said he wasn’t feeling okay when he went to the hospital but after taking the medicine he felt great. In fact, he wanted to go home after 24 hours but was advised to stay in the hospital longer.
Dear Mr. President:
1. The FDA has not approved any cure for COVID.
2. COVID is not a blessing in disguise.
3. You're spreading lies – again.
4. If you want to shill for a drug company, step down as president. @realDonaldTrump https://t.co/8EmWDvw1OG— Brian J. Karem (@BrianKarem) October 7, 2020
Netizens slammed Donald’s statement
Many netizens were not impressed with Donald Trump, saying that his positive COVID-19 diagnosis was a blessing from God. Those who had family members who passed away were furious because coronavirus is something they would never view as a blessing after losing their loved ones. Even the netizens who looked back at the over 200,000 deaths in America were not happy.
“The 210,000 dead Americans and their families and friends do not feel the same. Shame on Trump for using God/religion like he uses everything else,” Don Winslow commented.
Another netizen called Trump a national embarrassment. Meanwhile, Brian J. Karem, a reporter, contradicted Trump saying coronavirus is not a blessing in disguise. He also accused the POTUS of spreading lies.
Meanwhile, many of Trump supporters choose to believe his words. Another also said that Trump is her favorite president because he has done so much in three years than any presidents she has known her whole life.
Kate Garraway slammed Trump
Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway found Donald Trump’s statement about catching COVID-19 a blessing in disguise strange. She was wondering if the president said it because it made him understood the impact of the pandemic.
But nevertheless, she still believed it was not right to say those words, especially that the drug he was talking about was not approved yet and considering the number of deaths due to COVID-19.
“But it completely ignores those things aren’t tried and tested,” Garraway said as quoted by The Sun.
“You can’t say something’s a blessing when more than 200,000 people in your own country and more than a million worldwide have died.”
