Dota 2 teams are going through a lot of changes recently. This time, professional team Virtus Pro makes headlines as it re-signs the legendary coach, ArtStyle.
Virtus Pro has previously been with ArtStyle during the 2017-2018 Dota 2 season. The legendary coach led VP to four major wins. He also led “the bears” into a top 6 finish during The International.
The second time is the charm?
ArtStyle left Virtus Pro after a lackluster performance during the 2018 annual Dota 2 tournament. Despite winning four majors, VP decided part ways with ArtStyle.
Virtus Pro is playing without a coach since March. Anatoly “Boo1k” Ivanov left the team months ago. However, the team managed to win against top-tier teams despite not having a coach with them.
This only means that Virtus Pro is getting more serious as more tournaments arrive.
“He already helped the team to reach an incredible level in the past and we are sure that his experience and understanding of the game will allow us to improve once again,” said Sergey Glamada, Virtus Pro general manager.

Well-decorated Dota 2 coach and player
ArtStyle was part of the Natus Vincere roster who won US$1 million in the very first The International tournament. He jumped ships to other teams after winning some tournaments as well.
His first and only stint as a coach was with Virtus Pro. The two-year relationship ended up with a lot of wins for the team.
DOTA Summit 7 was the first win of VP under ArtStyle’s command. The team went on a winning spree taking home the ESL One Hamburg 2017, ESL One Katowice 2018, and ESL One Birmingham 2018 championships.
These wins were filled with top finishes in between as well.
Dota 2 is a tough game and teams need some guidance despite their in-game knowledge. Virtus Pro is one step closer to winning with the team under ArtStyle’s wing.
