Long-time developer Double Fine Productions will add their legacy titles to Xbox Games Pass this month. These titles will also include their old LucasArts games.

Double Fine announced they would include classics to the Xbox Games Pass at the end of the month. Some of the games they’d add will include their classic LucasArts titles. These include Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, and Grim Fandango—all remastered.

Double Fine adds point-and-click adventure games

In the 90s, LucasArts was at the cusp of the point and clickable adventure games genre. They led the way through the early 90s, together with Sierra On-Line Systems. As it was dying, they developed some of the best titles at the time.

Games like Grim Fandango and Full Throttle were cult classics. Day of the Tentacle was one of the most beloved titles of its genre too.

They were the marvels of the SCUMM engine from LucasArts, along with Secret of Monkey Island. Long-time gamers and new players can now enjoy these titles with ease on the Games Pass.

The studio made the announcement on Twitter, saying it’s available to everyone on Microsoft’s service. Double Fine picked up the titles after Disney shuttered LucasArts in 2013.

“It’s official! Our classic LucasArts adventure game remasters of Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, and Grim Fandango are coming October 29 to Xbox Game Pass members,” said the tweet. “Travel through time, cruise the open road, or solve mysteries in the Land of the Dead. All on Game Pass!”

The LucasArts titles will receive full remaster too. The games will have HD graphics and will be available on every Microsoft platform. These include the Xbox consoles, PC, and Android via xCloud.

Games Pass adds more games to the service

The Xbox Games Pass is not only adding 90’s point and click adventure titles this month. Players got new titles a few days ago, with more coming soon.

Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition is now available for PC players. There’s also Heave Ho, Katana Zero, and Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition. The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse is also on the platform now.

For console players, they will get ScourgeBringer and Cricket 19 as exclusives. Supraland will also be available starting October 22. At the same time, some games are also going away from the service.

A few games like After Party, Lego Star Wars, and Tacoma are leaving the service for now. Even then, the Xbox Games Pass will add more games soon. The addition of remastered offerings from Double Fine will be good nostalgia pieces for long-time gamers.
