Dr. Stone Season 2 now has a new trailer, confirming the new season’s release date and giving a glimpse of its new look.
There will be a lot of new things coming in Dr. Stone Season 2. The preview also teases the all-out war between Senku and Tsukasa.
Season 2 details
The anime’s second season has been confirmed since the first season ended. It is one of the most anticipated series coming in the Winter 2021 releases.
In Season 2, Senku is expected to go in a full-out war against Tsukasa, Comicbook noted.
Fans are about to see what will happen in this fight. On the other hand, others will make their way to the stone world to spend their first winter.
Hence, the teaser gives everyone a glimpse of its new winter look. The clip also drops the new opening theme song, “Rakuen,” by Fujifabric, while the ending theme will be “Koe?” by Hatena.
The Stone Wars arc
Dr. Stone Season 2 will be telling the story of the Stone Wars arc from the original manga series. This will continue the major conflict between the Kingdom of Science and Empire of Might in the first season finale.
The trailer showed Senku is doing his best to use science for his own advantage and bring Tsukasa down using information and technology.
Empire of Might has several new faces, so Senku knows he has to work hard to defeat Tsukasa. He has to gather more people to make the most of their time in the stone world.
So, fans have a lot to look forward to.
Taiju, Yuzuriha’s introduction
Fans may also see the reintroduction of Taiju and Yuzuriha in Dr. Stone Season 2 after being absent for the previous season’s latter part.
These two are both loyal to Senku, but Tsukasa’s people are following them, HITC noted. Does this mean they have been kidnapped? Is that why they are gone?
Elsewhere, there may be a romantic storyline happening in the second season. Chrome and Ruri may become romantically together, or the latter may develop romantic feelings toward Senku.
Also, something may happen to Kohaku this time.
Meanwhile, Crunchyroll confirmed Dr. Stone Season 2 would be out on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021.
From Saturday, the show will move to a Thursday timeslot, so fans are about to see it in the middle of the week starting next year.
However, the network has yet to reveal how many episodes Dr. Stone Season 2 has or if it will be a split-cour.
