Following the adventure of Son Goku and the Z Fighters based on the storyline of the original anime and its remaster in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, an expanded storyline and gameplay featuring Beerus and the Super Saiyan God will be hitting the game in the form of DLC on April 28, 2020.
Dubbed the ‘A New Power Awakens – Part 1,’ this initial DLC is derived on the earlier parts of the arc seen in Dragon Ball Super, which saw Son Goku and Vegeta attaining their Super Saiyan God form for the first time.

First time players of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will have to go through the base game which begins at the Raditz Saga up until the Kid Buu Saga, lest they encounter an insurmountable conundrum down the road.
Not an Easy DLC
Once installed, the DLC will become accessible to players at any time in the game, giving players instant access to what is essentially the game’s latter contents.
Advanced players who had already finished the game will not find the expanded contents easy to play, however, given the added trouble that the developers intended for the up and coming downloadable content.
The notion is truer still to those who are too eager in playing the DLC. That is, especially by skipping the main storyline of the base game. They will find themselves at a difficult undertaking when faced with a level 250 Beerus. As of writing, the game’s max level is 250. This essentially depicts the aforementioned opponent as being at the top-tier.
Adding another layer difficulty, items are inaccessible during combat with Beerus.
Corroborating to the degree of the challenge which the DLC poses is the game’s producer Hara Ryousuke. He explicitly claimed the clear rate of the expanded content as being a ‘1 out of 10.’
DLCs in Parts
Players who had the budget for getting both Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and the ‘A New Power Awakens – Part 1’ DLC may able to do so via the Season Pass. Nevertheless, players still have the option to buy the two separately.
Season Pass owners are not entitled with just the first DLC. Said owners also gets the second DLC. Expectedly named ‘A Power Awakens – Part 2,’ once released.
Still yet to be officially announced. It is likely that the second DLC will feature both Goku and Vegeta attaining their Super Saiyan Blue form.
