Drew Barrymore is, allegedly, on the verge of a major meltdown due to her grueling work commitments.
The former child star launched her talk show six months ago, and her friends are, allegedly, worried that Drew Barrymore could be working too much.
Drew Barrymore overworked
According to OK! magazine, the E.T. star has been burning out. After all, she also has a full-time job as a mom on top of her talk show.
“She had no idea that juggling work and family would be this hard, and she’s feeling pressure from every side. She desperately wants to be there for the kids, but she’s trying to make her show a hit. And with her production company, she has a million other things on her plate as well,” the source said.
The actress has been binge eating
To deal with the stress, the insider claimed that Barrymore has been bingeing on junk food and drinking too much caffeine.
“Drew doesn’t want to let anyone down, but if she doesn’t dial it back, she’s going to collapse from exhaustion,” the source said.
Drew Barrymore is doing OK
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. After all, there’s no indication that Barrymore is struggling.
In fact, the actress seems to be having a blast juggling her work as a host and as a mom.
On last week’s Dear Drew segment, Drew Barrymore some of her fans questions.
One fan asked the actress which of her movies does her two kids, Olive and Frankie love to watch.
The actress said that her young children enjoy watching Ever After and 50 First Dates.
TV wars between talk show hosts
Meanwhile, Barrymore has been at the center of all sorts of rumors throughout the past year.
Last October, New Idea claimed that she’s been having TV wars with Ellen DeGeneres. After all, their talk shows are, allegedly, competing with each other.
“Drew is wonderful to work for and she, like everyone else in Hollywood, was appalled at what people have been saying about Ellen for months now. She wanted to make it very clear from the get-go that she is not cut from the same cloth,” the source said.
However, there is also no truth to this claim. Drew Barrymore and DeGeneres are not in direct competition with one another.
