The Rock just surprised everyone while sharing a new release date for his upcoming DC flick Black Adam. It’s yet to go into production.
Mark your calendars for the Black Adam movie, which will now arrive on July 29, 2022, assuming that the pandemic situation will not change for the worse.
The actor will play the famous DC anti-hero from the comics.

The filming of the title starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will commence later in April.
He shared the newly updated date for its arrival on his Twitter profile, as you can see above.
Recently, renowned actor Pierce Brosnan was also cast as Dr. Fate in Black Adam.
The new release date has been revealed due to the impact of the pandemic.
COVID-19 cases are still rising. And as a result of that, major future films are going through another round of long delays.
Furthermore, several reports also say that Warner Bros. might drop the movie’s plan on HBO Max. It implies that it may arrive only in theaters eventually.
WB’s decision to make its new launches available simultaneously in cinemas and on its streaming platform might change soon. The company has confirmed that.
Black Adam stars Dwayne as the title character. Other prominent cast members are Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, and Quintessa Swindell.
Upcoming DCEU titles in the future
Warner Bros. is planning to come out with huge titles in the next few years.
Yes, there is a pandemic, but that’s not going to stop the makers from giving out potential blockbusters.
One ample proof of that is WB’s upcoming slate, predominantly comprising of DC-based movies.
Talking about the most-awaited names, they are James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, The Flash, and The Batman. The latter stars Robert Pattinson who will make his superhero debut as Bruce Wayne in the Matt Reeves directorial next year in March.
Then there is the sequel to 2018’s highly successful Aquaman. The second part will start shooting this summer. James Wan will return alongside Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry. Amber Heard is also expected to come back as Mera, the Queen of Atlantis.
Several other crucial projects in early development are Batgirl, The Trench, and Wonder Woman 3. Patty Jenkins will helm the third installment starring Gal Gadot as the superheroine of Amazon.
Again, coming back to Black Adam, it’s currently set to debut in theaters on July 29 next year.
