Dwyane Wade roasts Paul Pierce after Miami clinches Finals

Dwyane Wade roasted Paul Pierce for an entertaining off-court rivalry that played for both the Heat and Celtics, respectively.

The Miami Heat has punched their ticket to the NBA Finals after six long years. Their run is one among the many storylines in the bubble that is for the history books. However, it is their story that could be remembered the most.

This Heat team is completely different from the Miami Heat era of the big three of James, Bosh, and Wade. Instead of focusing on just three key players, this Miami Heat team is a product of a balanced team with a vocal leader in Jimmy Butler.

Dwyane Wade destroys Paul Pierce off the court

The battle between the Heat and the Celtics could be the start of a new rivalry. Both teams are young and spry with a great future ahead of them. As such, it has excited Paul Pierce and Dwyane Wade, who are both legends of the Celtics and the Heat, respectively.

Paul Pierce has been on the wrong end of the news because of his out-of-this-world claims. Draymond Green even roasted him for his comments against Lebron James. Unfortunately, he keeps on striking out as the Celtics were beaten by the Miami Heat 4-2. It then prompted Dwyane Wade to call out Pierce for his comments against the Heat.

Paul Pierce earlier said that the Heat would not make it to the Playoffs. Naturally, Dwyane Wade would come to the defense of a team he greatly loves. Wade has even played with some of the young players in the team.

Underlying storyline between the Lakers and the Heat

Beyond the budding rivalry between the Heat and the Celtics, there are still so many stories to be told between the Heat and the Lakers.

First, Erik Spoelstra will face Lebron James in the Finals after winning two trophies with each other. James is more matured now and will be the brain and brute force that will ram through the defense of the Heat.

Second, Andre Iguodala will be in his sixth straight Finals appearance. This time, he is not donning the bright gold colors of the Warriors. Instead, he will be wearing the black and red jersey of the Heat. However, things aren’t really different as he will have to face Lebron James yet again in a Finals series.

Lastly, as the ultimate underdogs, the Miami Heat don’t have many to lose, but everything to gain if they pull off an upset against the Lakers.
