Early review reactions for ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ are good!

Share

It seems like the hype is true, and it’s good news for Warner Bros. Its latest title, Godzilla vs. Kong, is getting a positive reaction from critics.

On Rotten Tomatoes, Godzilla vs. Kong is sitting at a comfortable position with surprisingly positive reviews.

However, it’s still an early phase, and the final picture will turn out only after a week.

‘Godzilla vs. Kong’: How’s it going initially?

As of now, the Rotten Tomatoes score for Godzilla vs. Kong is around 79 percent. It includes a total of 29 reviews at the time of writing.

So yes, basically, it’s a certified fresh release!

The score might change later, but overall, it’ll, it’s a good sign for the fourth installment in the MonsterVerse.

However, again, one thing that can be a problem for this new entry in its franchise is human characters’ treatment.

Why?

The reason is that it’s been a serious issue with all the previous films of this universe.

When it comes to monsters and the action scenes, things are great, but on the part of humans, the makers haven’t been able to do anything.

And with Godzilla vs. Kong also, the old problem has returned. Many critics, in their reviews, have mentioned that there’s no actual plot for any character involved in the movie.

The audience won’t connect much, especially with the “actual actors” portraying key roles, because the overall storyline doesn’t leave much scope for them.

It will be interesting to see its box-office as well as HBO Max performance in the coming weeks. That will be an essential aspect to judge if it’s a hit or an average outing from Warner Bros.

Upcoming major movies of 2021

Meanwhile, there are a lot of anticipated titles scheduled to arrive this year.

Yes, there is a pandemic out there, and restrictions are increasing as well. But despite that, theaters are opening even in a limited capacity.

COVID-19 has pushed some of the highly-awaited films further.

Speaking of upcoming releases then firstly, there is Marvel with Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Eternals, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Furthermore, Daniel Craig’s No Time To Die, Sony’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and Dune will also make their debut soon. Only if the pandemic situation doesn’t change for the worse than what it is right now.

Otherwise, there will be a new round of extended delays.

Coming back to Godzilla vs. Kong, it’s now available to stream on HBO Max and run in theaters.

What do you think about all the big films coming later this year? Are you excited and hyped for them?
