The first episode of the new Marvel entry, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, finally made its premiere for the Disney+ platform on Friday.
While there were moments of superhero beliefs and past events, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s very first episode proved to be deep. It also depicted that the show is going to be nothing like WandaVision.
Which is great as far as the variety of themes is concerned.
TFATWS stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan in the lead roles of Sam and Bucky.
SPOILER WARNING!

‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ episode 1 reaction
The scene opened with Sam, a.k.a., Falcon remembering Steve’s words from Avengers: Endgame. And it was mainly about the legacy of Captain America and his Vibranium shield’s fate in a post-Blip world.
He then goes on a mission of rescuing a person named Vasant. While accomplishing the objective, in the end, he misses the borders of Libya. It was a great action sequence, though.
We then see him honoring Rogers, remembering him once more while handing over the government’s shield because he thinks it belongs to Cap and no one else.
Also, as of now, it seems like he’s himself ready not for taking the mantle. That’s another reason he gave the shield to the authorities.
The episode, titled New World Order of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, progresses further as James Barnes appears. He is still going through a lot of trauma of his dark past.
He’s having nightmares now of everything he did when he was in Hydra’s control.
The good thing is that he’s trying to improve himself as a better person while helping an old Japanese man named Yori. They share some great moments of conversation with each other.
However, Bucky seems to be having a feeling of guilt because Yori is the same man whose son was killed by him when he used to work as a killing machine of Hydra.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 1 is unlike anything fans of the MCU have witnessed so far. It paves the way for a new angle of how we see superheroes and how they see themselves in particular.
The new villains, Flag Smashers, make their presence felt as well. Their paths will soon cross with Sam and Bucky’s as the series stretches further.
A new Cap arrives!
And yes, to remind you again that the TV series is in a cinematic universe, the ending revealed a new Captain America.
Early reports have already confirmed that Wyatt Russell is playing John Walker, a.k.a., the new iteration of America’s hero.
Sam gets shocked, as expected, when he finds out that the government has passed the shield to a different person.
The next chapter will try to uncover a lot of things about who this new character is and why’s he’s been given such a huge responsibility.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will come back next Friday with its second episode on Disney Plus.
