After over 57% of Twitter users voted that Elon Musk should step down as Twitter’s CEO, one name particularly came to attention – Edward Snowden.
The famous whistleblower answered Musk’s tweets by saying he accepts payment in crypto:
I take payment in Bitcoin. https://t.co/wW0Qa9NxWi
— Edward Snowden (@Snowden) December 19, 2022
This is nothing strange since just few days ago, addressing all the personal security concerns over the past couple of days on Twitter, Snowden said that while he understands Musk’s motives, he has to be aware that he is an influential public persona in a world where “even normal people are constantly tracked.”
Last week Musk started banning several accounts for different reasons. One account, for that matter, managed to track the location of Musk’s private jet. The other account was the one of the social network called Mastodon who actually posted a link to the jet tracker’s account on its platform.
We’ll see what will happen with this interesting Snowden’s offer since Musk is known for not believing in remote work.
