Bethesda’s Skyrim has been out for more than ten years now, and there’s no sign of Elder Scrolls 6 so far from the developing team.
However, Bethesda Game Studio’s director and executive producer Todd Howard have recently teased something big for Elder Scrolls 6. According to him, the next entry will be even better than its predecessor Skyrim.
‘Elder Scrolls 6’ game: What to expect?
Currently, Bethesda has all the focus on its newest IP, Starfield, an open-world, open-galaxy project. The anticipated title is slated to arrive next year in November.
But it’s a well-known fact that Elder Scrolls is still the best-known franchise among the fans, and they are waiting for official news on its successor, Elder Scrolls 6. Since Skyrim‘s release in 2011, there’s been no announcement for the next part.
Recently, however, Bethesda’s executive producer Todd Howard revealed that the team has huge plans for the sixth entry. In an interview with IGN, he said that the next part would have more “interactivity” in terms of the open-world aspect.
Howard mentioned that Skyrim didn’t go very deep in interacting with the game’s environment. But Elder Scrolls 6 will improve on that and while being even better than its predecessor on many fronts.
Furthermore, he added that the sixth installment will also have improved AI elements regarding NPC interactions.
Although it’s a very early way of giving it a picture, fans don’t have anything else to imagine the next game in the series. They can only go by Todd’s words and think about what more could be added to Skyrim‘s successor.
As of now, Bethesda’s sole emphasis is on Starfield, which was first announced earlier this year in June. The already-awaited title gave its first look through a brief teaser trailer. Interestingly, the clip was actually in-game footage.
The project will make its way to the players’ consoles exactly after a year, on November 11, 2022.
Upcoming video games
Meanwhile, the gaming arena will witness more fresh releases before the end of this calendar.
After the huge arrivals of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Forza Horizon 5, fans have their eyes set on EA’s Battlefield 2042. From the developer DICE, the sixth entry in the action franchise will arrive soon, a week later, to be precise.
Battlefield 2042 will heavily focus on multiplayer gameplay while also introducing a brand new gaming mode. Fans are curious and hyped already, to say the least.
Coming back to Elder Scrolls 6, again, then it’s yet to get an official announcement from Bethesda’s team. However, all die-hard players can go for the Skyrim Anniversary Edition right now to dive deeper into the world of the beloved series.
