Ellen DeGeneres returned to television via The Ellen Show season 18 earlier this week. During the premiere, she apologized again to her staff but she was still criticized.
Due to the backlash she has been receiving, it was reported that Ellen DeGeneres asked her famous Hollywood friends to defend her. If they will refuse, the 62-year-old host, allegedly, warned them there will be consequences.
Ellen herding A-list allies and planning revenge if turned down
The National Enquirer published an article titled “Betrayed Ellen Declaring War on Phony Hollywood.” The tabloid claimed the host/comedian asked her friends to fight for her.
She also warned them that there will be consequences if they will refuse. Ellen DeGeneres is, allegedly, very desperate to gather her pals so she can create a group of defenders.
“Ellen is warning her famous friends to defend her or be prepared for payback,” the tipster supposedly told the magazine. “She is desperately trying to round up more A-list allies.”
The source went to say that Portia De Rossi’s wife was all alone as nobody wants to be associated with her tainted reputation now.
Ellen DeGeneres will, allegedly, name her “fake” Hollywood friends if they will not support her. It is part of her plan to get back at them if they will not help.
“She won’t be afraid to uncover rocks to reveal the darkest and most embarrassing secrets,” the insider stated. “DeGeneres will make them pay for their silence.”
Alec Baldwin showed his support to Ellen DeGeneres
In the whole week following the premiere of The Ellen Show, the guest lineup is incredible as they are all big personalities. A few of the names mentioned were Kris Jenner and Tiffany Haddish.
On the third day after her show returned on Sept. 21, one of the guests was Alec Baldwin. He cheered Ellen Degeneres up and advised her to move on.
Ellen asked the 62-year-old actor about his children but he said he would like to say something first.
“Before we talk about my kids, Ellen, I just want to say that you are someone – I’ve followed your career from when you were doing standup and you were a solo performer,” Baldwin told the host in the clip.
He continued, “I’ve watched the films you’ve done and I’ve watched your success on this TV show, and you are one of the funniest and most talented people in all of the show business and we all have some patches of white water here but you keep going. Don’t you stop doing what you’re doing.”
Revealing the truth
Now, it seems that the National Enquirer is suggesting Baldwin said these things on-air after Ellen supposedly issued her threat of revenge.
With this allegation, is it true that Ellen DeGeneres warned her friends to gain support? It turned out that it was a false report.
Gossip Cop pointed out that the tabloid that made the claim is not a media outlet that can be trusted. In fact, it already debunked many stories that were published on the National Enquirer.
