Ellen DeGeneres bans ex-girlfriend Anne Heche from ‘Ellen Show’: rumor

Ellen DeGeneres bans ex-girlfriend Anne Heche from 'Ellen Show': rumor

Ellen DeGeneres, allegedly, banned her ex-girlfriend, Anne Heche, from guesting on The Ellen Show.

Three years ago, Celebrity Insider claimed that Ellen DeGeneres has 100 percent control over her daytime program. As such, she’s the one who decides which celebrities she will interview.

“Ellen refuses to have Anne on her show, it’s her show, and she’s 100 percent in control on who gets books,” a source said.

Ellen DeGeneres reportedly knows how powerful she is

DeGeneres, reportedly, understands the power she has on television. And she also knows that she can change the lives of those who make it on her program.

As such, the comedian only, allegedly, invites people that are genuine and who can have a positive impact on the world on her talk show.

DeGeneres and Heche dated in 1997 after they met at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. They immediately became the most famous LGBTQ couple in Hollywood back then.

Despite the support that the couple received, Heche said that 20th Century Fox fired her after she took DeGeneres as her date to a movie premiere.

“I took Ellen, we were told that my contract for Fox would be [ended] and I would be fired. And that the movie that I had just met Harrison Ford on wouldn’t hire me. We went to the premiere – these are the stories that I know people don’t know — we went to the premiere, we were tapped on the shoulder, put into her limo in the third act, and told that we couldn’t have pictures of us taken at the press junket. And both she and I were fired that week,” Heche said.

The comedian didn’t want to engage in PDA

Following their split, Ellen DeGeneres told Los Angeles Times about her reservations while dating Heche. She said that she didn’t want to hold hands in public because this was something that she had never done before.

“And yet there was this attitude of, you know, ‘You’re going to be on the cover of Time magazine and say you’re gay but you’re not going to hold hands? You deserve to hold hands as much as Tom [Cruise] and Nicole [Kidman]. Or Tom [Hanks] and Rita [Wilson].’ So I have to take responsibility for participating in [that],” she said.

Shortly after their split, Ellen DeGeneres met Portia de Rossi, and they fell in love. Today, the couple is still together despite claims that they are on the brink of a divorce.
