Ellen DeGeneres earned the nickname “horrible boss” even before a slew of people came forward with their shocking stories about the comedian.
This week, reports claimed that Warner Bros. and Telepictures will conduct an investigation after former Ellen Show employees slammed the producers and heads of the show. Ellen DeGeneres wasn’t directly criticized by the former employees. However, they think that she should be more involved with what’s going on behind the scenes.
‘Ellen Show’ former employees slam the producers, Ellen DeGeneres
Earlier this month, the 10 former Ellen Show employees shared their harrowing experiences while working on the show with BuzzFeed News. Immediately after, the executive producers of the show released a statement expressing their disappointment and sadness over the allegations.
“It’s not who we are and not who we strive to be, and not the mission Ellen has set for us. For the record, the day to day responsibility of the Ellen show is completely on us. We take all of this very seriously and we realize, as many in the world are learning, that we need to do better, are committed to doing better, and we will do better,” the statement read.
The comedian doesn’t allegedly practice what she preaches
Before the allegations against the show and Ellen DeGeneres blew out of proportion, there were also reports saying that the host isn’t who she really is.
People know DeGeneres for her mantra on kindness. She encourages her audiences to always be kind to one another.
Ellen DeGeneres is allegedly a horrible boss
Star dubbed DeGeneres as one of Hollywood’s horrible bosses because she, allegedly, takes out her frustrations on her staff.
“She hates delays, and she hates not being fully informed about guests or skits. But she doesn’t want too much unnecessary information. Basically, it’s a no-win situation. If you mess up or piss her off, you may as well quit,” the unnamed source said.
A lot of people saw the tabloid’s story back then as hearsay. After all, no one has come forward to slam DeGeneres. But less than a year later, some people have started calling the comedian a “mean girl.”
One of her critics said that she almost lost her job because of DeGeneres. Others have been claiming that the Ellen Show host doesn’t like talking to people with stinky breaths. As such, she has a bowl of mints outside her office.
Some reality TV stars and YouTube personalities also said that Ellen DeGeneres is not the same person you see on television. After all, she’s, reportedly, cold and demeaning in real life.
