Ellen DeGeneres just announced that she will be quitting Ellen Show after Season 19.
Now, Star is claiming that Ellen DeGeneres has already been receiving lucrative offers to appear in other projects. And she has her wife Portia de Rossi’s full support even though she also wants her to take a break.
“The word is, she has lucrative new offers coming in. Portia would love for Ellen to take a break, dial back the intensity and enjoy life for a while, but Ellen is 100 percent not done in entertainment,” the source said.
Ellen DeGeneres lied about her reason for quitting ‘Ellen Show’?
Days ago, DeGeneres said that she decided to quit Ellen Show because she no longer feels challenged creatively. However, the tabloid’s unnamed source claimed that this isn’t the real reason why the comedian decided to quit.
“Decided to end the show has more to do with pride and ego than anything else,” the source said.
Ellen DeGeneres dubbed as selfish
During her announcement, DeGeneres admitted that her wife was a big part of her decision.
“She’s selfish and wants me to do things that I’m challenged by. And she’s watched me come home every day saying, ‘I just feel like there’s more I could be doing,’” she said.
According to other tabloids, Ellen DeGeneres quit Ellen Show because of the recent claims that there’s a toxic environment on set. The funny woman was also, allegedly, affected by the rumors that she was a bully.
Earlier this week, National Enquirer also alleged that DeGeneres quit her talk show because she knows that Kelly Clarkson’s program is more successful than Ellen Show.
A source said that viewers adore Clarkson because she’s nice and fun. And they hate DeGeneres’ sense of humor.
“Kelly has been seen as the future for a while now. She’s relatable, funny, unaffected, and talented, whereas Ellen has this snooty, ice queen kind of vibe,” the source said.
Rumors debunked
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Ellen DeGeneres quit the show because she doesn’t feel challenged anymore and not because of all the reasons that the tabloids are saying.
