Ellen DeGeneres net worth intact amid ‘Ellen Show’ cancelation rumors

The net worth of Ellen DeGeneres is, reportedly, still intact despite the recent drop in the ratings for the Ellen Show.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the net worth of Ellen DeGeneres is estimated at $490 million. In years past, the comedian’s net worth was estimated at $330 million or higher.

Ellen DeGeneres sources of income

Variety previously reported that DeGeneres earns more than $50 million per year from her deals with Telepictures. Sixty percent of her yearly income reported comes from advertising, carrying fee, and product placement profits.

Forbes also estimated DeGeneres’ earnings as anywhere up to $84 million. In 2018, she, reportedly, earned $87 million.

On top of her deals with Telepictures, she also earns a generous sum from her production company.

Last month, Portia de Rossi’s wife tapped four personalities to headline new shows on the Ellen DeGeneres Network. This venture could potentially increase DeGeneres’ net worth.

The funny woman also has endorsement deals with brands like American Express and JCPenney.

Ellen DeGeneres will not struggle financially even if show's canceled

Ellen will not struggle financially even if show’s canceled

According to StyleCaster, DeGeneres’ net worth is still doing fine despite rumors that the Ellen Show might be canceled.

Journalist Jenzia Burgos said that even if the Ellen Show is no longer on air, DeGeneres would still be fine.

“The 62-year-old comedian has made so much money from her career, she could survive anything at this point – even cancelation,” the journalist said.

Producers respond to cancelation rumors

There is still no confirmation that the Ellen Show will stop airing. And producers also weighed in on the rumors by giving a simple but straight out response.

“Telepictures can confirm it’s untrue,” the source told The New York Post.

Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi divorce rumors

There are also claims that DeGeneres and de Rossi’s marriage is on the rocks.

According to In Touch Weekly, DeGeneres and de Rossi are heading for a $500 million divorce. Since the couple didn’t, reportedly, sign a prenuptial agreement, the Scandal actress could get a huge sum of money following her split.

“Ellen’s estimated to be worth $500 million, and since they’ve been married for more than ten years in California and to my knowledge don’t have a prenup, Portia will be entitled to be a bigger piece of the pie than if they had split a few years ago. It could be one way for Portia to get even with Ellen for putting her through hell for so long,” the source said.

However, there are no concrete pieces of evidence that can confirm that these hearsays about Ellen DeGeneres and de Rossi are correct.
