Rumors that Ellen DeGeneres will be replaced as host of Ellen Show have been rife for months.
Before James Corden’s name made the rounds, other celebrities were also linked to Ellen DeGeneres and the Ellen Show.
In June, Life & Style claimed that Chrissy Teigen could replace DeGeneres as the host of the talk show. An unnamed source told the tabloid that DeGeneres was the one who came up with the list of possible replacements. And Teigen is, allegedly, at the top of her list.
“Ellen’s reached out to a few guest hosts including [Ellie] Kemper, [Neil Patrick] Harris and Teigen, who have filled in for her in the past. It’s not an easy decision, but it’s one she’ll be making soon,” the unnamed source said, as per Life & Style.
Neil Patrick Harris, Kevin Hart, Ellie Kemper could replace Ellen DeGeneres
Neil Patrick Harris and Kevin Hart are also rumored to be replacing DeGeneres as host of the Ellen Show. Life & Style claimed that the comedian is already planning her retirement. And she wants to make sure that she will leave the show in good hands.
If not Harris or Hart, DeGeneres is also, allegedly, eyeing Ellie Kemper as her possible replacement. However, Portia de Rossi’s wife is still having a hard time deciding which celebrity is right for the job.
Kristen Bell eyed as a replacement for Ellen DeGeneres?
“With Ellen’s PR disaster, suddenly Kristen’s name keeps coming up. She’s quietly been honing her hosting chops. Everybody in town loves her!” the unnamed source said, as per Us Weekly.
Last year, OK! magazine published a similar story saying that Bell could be DeGeneres’ rightful replacement.
“Everybody knows that Ellen doesn’t want to do this forever… The thinking is that she’s going to renew for two or three more years. And in the meantime, Kristen will be groomed for a big takeover. Ellen thinks she’s adorable and would not only make a great interviewer but also connect with her demographic. She’s convinced that Kristen is the perfect person to take her place,” the source said.
James Corden rumors
Corden is, allegedly, replacing DeGeneres as the host on the Ellen Show.
According to The Sun, NBC Entertainment Chairman Paul Telegdy is a huge fan of Corden. As such, he’s eyeing the comedian as a possible long-term successor to Ellen DeGeneres. However, nothing has been confirmed yet regarding the host and the show’s fates.
