Anne Heche once again talked about her previous relationship with Ellen DeGeneres.

During this week’s episode of Dancing With the Stars, Anne Heche shared details from her tumultuous relationship with the comedian with her pro partner, Keo Mostepe.

“My story is a story that created change in the world, moved the needle for equal rights forward. In 1997, I met Ellen DeGeneres at the Vanity Fair party and that was the night that changed my life forever,” Heche said.

The actress then talked about the movie premiere for Volcano. Before the red carpet event took place, Heche told her producers and director that she would bring DeGeneres as her date. But they discouraged her from doing so because this could mean losing her contract with Fox.

During her conversation with DeGeneres, the Ellen Show host, reportedly, took Heche’s hand and encouraged her to do what her producers and directors are advising. This meant that DeGeneres refused to go to the premiere as Heche’s date for fear that her then-girlfriend would lose her job.

However, Heche insisted that they attend the red-carpet premiere together. But before the movie was even finished, they were escorted out of the venue.

“I was ushered out by security before the movie even ended. And I was told I was not allowed to go to my own after-party for fear they would get pictures of me with a woman. She was warning me, ‘This is going to happen.’ I was in a relationship with Ellen DeGeneres for three-and-a-half years. And the stigma attached to that relationship was so bad that I was fired from my multimillion-dollar picture deal. I did not work in a studio picture for 10 years,” She said.

Anne Heche also weighed in on the controversies involving DeGeneres earlier this month. She revealed that she hasn’t spoken to her ex-girlfriend in years.

“If I’m standing someplace and I don’t like what’s going on there and I stay there, it’s my fault. So, what are the actions that got me there? And why can’t I get out of it easily if that’s not something that I want to be engaged in? Ellen is standing where she walks, and that is hers to continue that journey,” she said.

Anne Heche was the one that got sent home this week in Dancing With the Stars. She was at the bottom two alongside Monica Aldama and Val Chmerkovskiy.
