Ellen DeGeneres is still, allegedly, unsure about her fate in Ellen Show.
Even though the comedian already apologized during the premiere episode of the show, there are still ongoing rumors that Ellen DeGeneres could get axed.
Ellen DeGeneres worried about losing ‘Ellen Show’
According to National Enquirer, the comedian has been selling some of her paintings to earn some cash. And this would, allegedly, be used to fund her lavish lifestyle in case she loses her hosting gig.
“Ellen is smart enough to realize if she loses her cushy paycheck she won’t have enough to fund her current lifestyle. It kills her to have to sell her beloved art collection, but selling the new home in Montecito would hurt a lot more,” the source said.
Ellen DeGeneres strapped for cash
The insider also revealed that some of DeGeneres’ paintings are being sold at $1 million each. So, she could earn a huge sum if she decides to sell several artworks.
“Ellen may have apologized for her behavior and the toxic environment on her show, but she wouldn’t be ditching the art she’s spent years collecting unless she was really, really worried about her job,” the source said.
Ellen and Portia have been selling paintings for a decade
News about Ellen DeGeneres selling some of her paintings first came to light last month. According to Bloomberg, she’s selling over $10 million worth of what she’s amassed thus far.
But according to Bloomberg, DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi have collected and sold art for over a decade. Two years ago, de Rossi also started a company for making and selling prints.
This proves that DeGeneres isn’t selling art amid fears that she could get axed from Ellen Show. After all, she has been collecting and selling them for decades.
Rumors debunked
Gossip Cop also debunked the tabloid’s claims by saying that even if DeGeneres loses her hosting gig, it’s unlikely for her to struggle financially. According to Forbes, the funny woman is the 12th highest-paid celebrity of 2020.
This means that DeGeneres most likely has more than enough to support her and de Rossi’s lavish lifestyle for more decades to come.
It is also important to note that hosting Ellen Show isn’t her only source of income. She has her own lifestyle brand, she does stand-up, and she also produces several TV shows.
The rumor-debunking site also busted National Enquirer for always targeting DeGeneres. They previously claimed that the comedian declared war on her fake friends in Hollywood. They also alleged that DeGeneres became paranoid amid fears that she could lose her job.
However, none of these rumors about Ellen DeGeneres are true.
