Ellen DeGeneres is, allegedly, stressing about her marriage and work lately.
According to Globe, Ellen DeGeneres fears that she could lose Portia de Rossi together with her hosting gig on Ellen Show.
Last month, it was reported that the once-hit talk show lost approximately 1 million viewers in the last six months. This means that there’s been a 43 percent decrease in audience share for Ellen Show.
Ellen DeGeneres show ratings dropped
No announcement has been made regarding the future of DeGeneres’ show, but the tabloid is convinced that the comedian is worried that it could get axed.
“Ellen’s been hit by a double whammy and her nerves are frayed. Her ratings are tanking, and her marriage is coming apart at the seams. I hear Ellen’s knocking back the red wine,” the source said.
According to the source, DeGeneres is desperate to save her career. So, she’s clinging on to the people who still believe in her.
“Her strategy is to let the storm die down and then pull in some huge guest stars to win back her audience and re-establish herself as top-dog on the talk show circuit,” the source said.
Ellen DeGeneres struggling to talk to Portia de Rossi
Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres hasn’t, allegedly, been finding peace when she’s at home. After all, she and her wife have, allegedly, been having problems.
The insider alleged that de Rossi was furious at her wife for selling the mansion that they purchased from Adam Levine years ago. After all, she thought that this would be their permanent home.
DeGeneres couldn’t also talk to de Rossi lately over her problems because the latter is still recovering after getting an appendectomy.
“Ellen is in a really bad place over Portia’s health crisis. And she’s been drowning her sorrows in booze. Ellen realizes more than ever how much she desperately loves Portia and what she’s got to lose if they split. But she also knows it’ll be a lot of work to get the relationship back on track once Portia recovers,” the source said.
Rumors debunked
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.
There is no indication that Ellen DeGeneres is stressed out. The funny woman seemed happy during her recent appearances in Ellen Show.
