As part of “The B Word” summit on July 21, Tesla Chief Executive Officer, bitcoin critic and former dogecoin promoter Elon Musk is set to lock horns with Square and Twitter CEO, bitcoin maximalist Jack Dorsey in a face-off dubbed as “The Talk.”
It all started over social media platform Twitter, after Musk responded with a lame joke on Dorsey’s announcement of the event.
Having none of it, Dorsey, armed with his business initiative, invited his fellow billionaire to a discussion on stage. “Let’s you and I have a conversation at the event. You can share all your curiosities,” the Twitter top honcho said.
At first, Musk just laughed it off, but after Dorsey insisted, the Tesla big boss gave in. “Very well then, let’s do it,” he replied.
Industry players delighted
One of the speakers for “The B Word,” Cathie Wood of ARK invest, was delighted with the development.
Using his own Twitter account, Wood said, “Brilliant! Looking forward to the discussion.”
Wood’s response was an interesting one, considering ARK Invest has a huge position on Elon Musk’s Tesla and co-authored a paper on Bitcoin’s green energy mining with Dorsey’s Square.
‘The B Word’
On its official website, “The B Word” is described as a Bitcoin-focused initiative that is aimed at demystifying and dispelling mainstream narratives about digital asset.
It also aims to explain how institutions can and should embrace Bitcoin and raise awareness around areas of the network that need support.
It is an event for organizations, institutional players and investors, offering a live experience and a library of content to the investor community, enabling a more informed discussion about the role of Bitcoin across the globe.
