Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo answered most viewers’ biggest question, who will Gabriel possibly choose between Emily and Camille in season 2.
Emily in Paris immediately became a hit when Netflix released it earlier this month. But the first season ended with a cliffhanger with Emily (Lily Collins) embracing her attraction to Lucas Bravo’s Gabriel. They shared a passionate night together because she thought he was leaving Paris.
However, Camille (Camille Razat), Gabriel’s ex-girlfriend and Emily’s close friend texted her that she heard the news that Gabriel would be staying. Gabriel and Camille broke up because he was leaving Paris and with him staying, they don’t have a reason to split.
Emily in Paris potential season 2
Emily in Paris hasn’t been renewed officially, but the viewers are already looking forward to season 2. Lucas Bravo sat with Cosmopolitan and shared some details about the series. When asked to choose between Emily and Camille, he initially declined to give an answer saying that the question was tough. But when prompted further, he chose Emily.
“The way we left things, Gabriel is definitely more excited, or more intoxicated by the promise of going further down the road with Emily, that’s for sure,” he said.
However, he knew that it won’t be easy for him to choose because Camille is strong-willed. He knew that she would return and try to win him back after learning that he would not be leaving Paris anymore.
Emily, Gabriel and Camille’s love triangle
According to Bravo, it’s difficult to tell what will really happen in their characters because there are a lot of possibilities.
For instance, when Camille and Emily accidentally kissed on the lips, the latter was sorry for the mistake but Camille wasn’t.
Also, in another scene, Camille and Emily took a selfie on a bed outdoors to promote one of Emily’s clients. And Gabriel liked their picture.
“Anything could happen between the three of them. I think Darren wants this second season to be really open-minded,” Bravo added.
What to expect in Season 2?
Even if Emily in Paris hasn’t been renewed yet, showrunner Darren Star is already prepared for season 2.
If the show will be renewed for another season, the viewers will get to see a better equipped Emily who can probably speak and understand French because she is more familiar with the place.
“In Season 2, she’s going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she’s living in. She’ll be more of a resident of the city. She’ll have her feet on the ground a little more. She’s making a life there,” Star O Magazine.
