A group of Ubisoft employees says the appointment of a CCO has left them with a lack of confidence.
Ubisoft’s games may still be beloved by many, but the business as a whole is in a sorry state. This is only the latest in a long line of allegations against Ubisoft Singapore.
This has been going on since the summer of 2020 when Ubisoft’s executives started to make claims and accusations of wrongdoing.
At Ubisoft, after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct and improper behavior, many of the accused were let go or transferred to new roles as part of the reorganization. Only a small number of workers were pleased with the outcome.
An issue that resurfaced last July
When Ubisoft workers grew unhappy with the company’s handling of the accusations of misbehavior, the issue resurfaced in July. A few examples include CCO Serge Hascot, who was fired but permitted to retain his interests in the business.
This ensured that he would stay wealthy. Workers have sent a letter protesting Igor Manceau’s nomination as CCO.
According to A Better Ubisoft, employees are dissatisfied with the new hiring, which claims it doesn’t make any progress in combating the “shocking lack of diversity” among Ubisoft execs.
Also, it does not change the status quo at the business to something more productive and non-toxic. Solidaires Informatique, a French union, filed a lawsuit against Ubisoft for “institutional sexual harassment” because of the situation.

Yves Guillemot is accused of prolonging the problem
Yves Guillemot, the company’s CEO, is accused of prolonging the problem by refusing to make significant reforms or punish the individuals involved.
According to the letter from A Better Ubisoft, Ubisoft’s workers have lost faith in Ubisoft’s commitment to improving the business. First, Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard workers wrote a united letter.
If Ubisoft does not make the necessary changes to satisfy its workers, the complaints will probably persist, perhaps even with more severe action behind them. It’s time for Ubisoft to start putting more effort into things if it wants to change things.
Ubisoft’s All-Star Blast is a terrible approach to get the sympathies of gamers if that’s what it’s attempting to accomplish. Hopefully, things will improve shortly.
