The upcoming rookie boy group formed from Mnet’s I-LAND, ENHYPEN, has now revealed its fandom name and revolutionary!
In the middle of the rigorous preparation of ENHYPEN, the new BeLift Lab’s boy group has excitedly announced its fan club name, and fans loved it!
On September 18, the final group from I-LAND was formed. And now, in less than a month, the soon to debut idols has revealed their fandom name, ENGENE!
How ENGENE was formed
Earlier in September, the K-pop boy group gathered fans’ suggestions about what name they will call their fan club. The boys then made a decision and selected a recommendation. ENGENE, according to the group, has two meanings.
The first is that the fans of ENHYPEN are considered the “engines” that allow the group to grow and move forward. While the second definition is that ENHYPEN and fans “share the same DNA to connect, develop, and grow together.”
ENHYPEN then shared their hopes to fans and said that both teams could cheer each other and be one great partnership. “Let’s make some amazing memories together.”
The seven members who aim to follow in the footsteps of BTS
During the I-LAND finale on September 18, nine contestants battled for the seven coveted slots, given a chance to debut as ENHYPEN.
ENHYPEN was described on the show as, “Just like hyphens connect different words to make new meanings, members of ENHYPEN will connect, discover each other, and grow together.”
The final announcement revealed Jungwoon, Jay, Jake, Ni-ki, Heeseung, Sunghoon, and Sunoo as the official members of ENHYPEN.
The K-pop all-boy group has been gaining immense popularity even before its official debut. To date, the boys have garnered 2.98 million subscribers for its Weverse community. In TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram, the septet has gained more than 1 million followers.
