While preparing for the release of their K-pop album in September, five members of the Enhypen group get Covid-19.
People are still being diagnosed with Covid-19 as the rest of the world becomes complacent about the ongoing pandemic.
South Korea and the K-pop industry were praised for their quick response and upkeep, which helped the country to maintain a semblance of normalcy. However, certain idols, such as Enhypen, have acquired Covid-19 as a result of this.
South Korea’s COVID-19 resurgence
There was an outbreak in the last week of July, with a large number of idols becoming sick. Hani from EXID, San from Ateez, Minhyuk from BTOB, and even Xiumin from EXO all tested positive for Covid-19.
They have, however, recovered since then. Junghwan and Doyoung of Treasure have also tested positive. Unfortunately, Enhypen’s luck has run out, as five of the seven members have received Covid-19.
Not one, but five members got infected
Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, and Sunghoon tested positive for Covid-19 on September 2 and were sent in quarantine, according to their label, BeLift Lab. They disclosed that the lads were quarantined on August 26 due to the presence of a positive patient at a site where Enhypen was filming.

Jake was the first to be diagnosed after exhibiting a variety of symptoms. Following him, the other four members began to exhibit identical symptoms and were eventually found to be positive.
Mild symptoms plus quarantine
They are currently exhibiting mild symptoms and are being held in isolation. The remaining members and staff are in quarantine as well, with self-testing required twice a day. Enhypen has just announced a new album and released the Japanese version of Given-Taken.
The lads were putting the last touches on their comeback, which is set for the end of September. Teasers and concept pictures for the September album piqued Engenes’ interest. Priorities have shifted as a result of the boys’ acquisition of Covid-19.
