Release date
It won’t be that long before fans hear official word about the new game. Gaming enthusiasts already know that leaks and revelations of future games are typical at this time of the year.
Although this year’s E3 event has already been canceled, Activision will perhaps hold or participate in a digital event to make the game official.
Since Activision hasn’t said anything about Black Ops Cold War, there isn’t an official release date yet. However, the game will probably debut this coming fall and will be available during the holidays.
Most Call of Duty games in the past were released by October or November. The developers have been consistent with these release dates. However, the release of the next-generation consoles may affect its launch and can even result in a delay.
Possible story
At this point, Call of Duty fans have already theorized who the possible characters and what will be the story of the fifth major title in Black Ops will be. Since the game’s name is Cold War, the game’s developers will have ample timelines to play with.
The war in the story will be based on spans in the middle 1940’s to the early 1990’s which includes the Vietnam War and the Korean War. However, because it is revisiting a time that Black Ops has already examined, the developers might have plans to detail the story in some other way.
Characters
Since the game will be going back to an old territory, the campaign mode might feature a few familiar faces such as Viktor Reznov and Alex Mason. Other possible characters that can have a comeback in the series could include Frank Woods, Captain Price and Jason Hudson.
However, it will be difficult to tell how Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will go at this point. Until Activision officially announces the title, this will all be based on speculation.
