Every playable hero in ‘Marvel’s Avengers’

Considering the hype behind the MCU, it should not be surprising that there’s a lot of buzz behind Crystal Dynamic’s upcoming Marvel’s Avengers video game. Like in the films, this game is jam-packed with a few familiar faces.

The upcoming Marvel’s Avengers allows players to control several heroes from the popular comics franchise. The choices have all been unveiled, and some players probably have their eyes set on some characters already. Here are all of the currently confirmed characters for the upcoming title.

Captain America

In the trailers for the game, Captain America is presumed dead after the event called A-Day. However, Crystal Dynamics does confirm that he will be a playable character. This could mean that he’s playable through flashbacks or that Captain America isn’t exactly dead after the A-day. As expected, Captain America’s combat skills rely on his trusty shield.

Iron Man

After the harrowing events of A-Day, Tony Stark leaves behind everything, including his fortune and technology. As per recent gameplay trailers, Iron Man is capable of fully utilizing his suit to cause devastating damage to foes. His ability to fly also makes him one of the mobile characters in the game.

The Hulk

We’ve yet to see whether or not players can control Bruce Banner but playing as The Hulk is already given. In Marvel’s Avengers, he can cause heavy damage to groups of enemies with his sheer strength. In terms of mobility, Hulk’s physical strength allows him to reach far off places simply by jumping.

From the look of things, it seems like Thor is one of the most fun characters to play as in the upcoming title. His trusty Mjollnir can be used as a weapon and as a means for travel as well. Of course, Thor is capable of using lightning to his advantage.

Black Widow

Despite being a regular human, Black Widow shows a lot of fighting prowess and lethality in the trailer. She’s one of the most agile characters in the game so far. Like Iron Man, Black Widow’s arsenal relies mostly on gadgets and tools instead of sheer strength. It’s not yet clear whether Black Widow can utilize stealth to her advantage in the game.

Miss Marvel

Miss Marvel’s powers are mostly about her ability to expand her body to great sizes. This not only allows her to deal damage from a distance, but it also helps her take out groups of enemies too. Despite being one of the youngest characters on the game, she’s still a worthy hero to play as.

Marvel’s Avengers launches on September 4 for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. More characters will be added post-launch, so the list of playable heroes will definitely expand.
