Today is the release date of the highly anticipated ‘Fall Guys,’ and there are a lot of reasons why gamers shouldn’t miss out on this game. Players should definitely free up some space on their storage to test this game out.
Fall Guys is a new spin on the battle royale genre. Since being revealed last year, gamers can’t help but be excited about this new game. During its beta phase, the game topped Twitch charts. Here’s everything we know about this title.
Gameplay
Each match of the game is played by up to 60 players. Those who are familiar with Takeshi’s Castle and Wipeout should also be familiar with the game’s premise. Basically, each contestant if vying to grab the crown, and only one player will remain at the end of the game.
At the start of each round, the remaining players will be revealed. Then, a random minigame will be chosen. During the minigame, players must try to survive at all costs. The minigames include luck-based minigames as well as ones with many obstacles.
To survive, players will need to be careful when moving around platforms. Falling out of the areas means elimination.
Customization
Players can customize their ‘fall guy’ whichever way they want in the game. As they win games and last longer than others, they’ll be able to unlock an assortment of customization options. This is one of the ways Fall Guys is going to keep players coming back into the loop.
We’ve yet to know the exact number of customization options. Based on the trailer, players will be able to change the color of their avatar and pick from countless costumes for their character to wear.
Free for some players
The game launches as a free title for PS Plus subscribers. As early as now, players can download the game so long as players still have their PS Plus active. This is a great deal as the game itself will require a PS Plus subscription before players can player can join in on the fun.
Fall Guys is a unique take on the battle royale genre. Based only early reviews by players and critics, the game does shake up the genre. It’s fun, light-hearted, and it’s certainly for every player out there. It may seem like a goofy title on the outside, but the game itself is still very challenging.
