Former adult film star Mia Khalifa shared her harrowing experience with the website BangBros and claimed that she felt used after being deceived.
Mia Khalifa had a brief stint in the adult entertainment industry. However, she already left a few years ago. In a series of tweets last week, she detailed her experience in the adult film industry.
Mia Khalifa contacted for a photoshoot
Mia Khalifa started her tweet by informing the public that she didn’t tell her story immediately because she was made to feel that she would be “derided by the general public” if she did it.
Khalifa made waves in the adult industry for wearing a hijab in her videos. In her tweets, she narrated how BangBros’ Jordan Sibbs allegedly contacted her at the heights of her viral clips for a photoshoot.
She was told that a Vogue photographer was in town, and she could go mainstream and be validated if she works with him. She took the opportunity and visited BangBros office without knowing what to expect from a “real photographer.”
On the back of her mind, she saw a beautiful set or location. However, there was no hair and makeup. She had doubts but still pushed it because she thought that it was for Vogue.
The photo shoot turned into a nightmare
Mia Khalifa and the photographer did the shoots at the roof of the building. She received a hijab and two replica semi-automatic rifles. He ordered her how to pose and even corrected her.
“His posing orders quickly scaled from provocative to salacious, but again, I was too afraid to say anything,” she wrote.
Just when she thought they were over, the photographer instructed her to take off her hijab and underwear and pose against a wall. The experience scared her too much.
“My heart began to palpitate. I know it might be easy for you to say ‘you had sex on camera, what’s the big deal?’ But you need to understand the level of fear a woman has when she feels powerless,” Khalifa added.
He told me to take the hijab and my underwear off and to pose against a wall. My heart began to palpatate. I know it might be easy for you to say “you had sex on camera, what’s the big deal?” But you need to understand the level of fear a woman has when she feels powerless.

She dissociated and was very terrified. The experience also made her feel cheap and used. In addition, she felt powerless and demeaned.
Weeks after the photo shoot, her pictures ended up in the BangBros website under her name. She used to own the domain before they allegedly deceived her into selling it to them for $1.
“They trafficked me into the hands of this man with no supervision or regards for my safety. I was not paid for that shoot,” she added.
Mia Khalifa also stressed that they did not inform her how her photos would be used, and she had no control of it. She just found out that the pictures were already on the BangBros website.
I was a pawn to them, they never saw me as a human being with a soul and a future. They trafficked me into the hands of this man with no supervision or regards for my safety. I was not paid for that shoot. I was not informed what it would be used for. I had no control.
