Those who were waiting for an Overwatch 2 news will surely love this. There’s a live stream next week that will reveal early footage.
The new director of Overwatch 2 recently announced that they would showcase the sequel’s gameplay on May 20th.
It’s just a week away!
‘Overwatch 2’ gameplay: What to expect?
Aaron Keller, who took over the role of the director after Jeff Kaplan, shared a developer update in a new video.
While briefly talking about Overwatch 2, he said that there are two upcoming opportunities for the players.
Firstly, they will get an early look at the upcoming sequel to 2016’s blockbuster PvP title.
On May 20th, there’s a PvP live stream by Overwatch and Overwatch League teams. There, the makers will also discuss the PvP aspect of the second installment.
“PvP is at the core of what makes Overwatch so special,” said the director in the video.
Aaron Keller will join Geoff Goodman, Dion Rogers, and many others from the development team. They will play through some new maps in OW2.
However, he also told fans not to expect too much from the gameplay reveal because everything they will see is still under development.
Overwatch 2 “still is a work in progress.”
Speaking of the second opportunity that Keller mentions in the latest video, it’s the developer AMA. It will happen on May 24th.
This session will see the team talking about the last five years of the first game’s development. Moreover, there will be an emphasis on the next part as well.
