Chanyeol portrays Raman, the main character, while L, aka Myungsoo and Daehyun have been cast as Raman’s protectors.
Chanyeol of EXO and L, aka Myungsoo of Infinite, is now serving in the military, but they are expected to make their musical debut soon.
Chanyeol, Myungsoo, and ex-B.A.P member Daehyun have been cast in the main role in the musical Meissa’s Song. Actor Moon Yong-suk, as well as American theatrical performers Michael Lee and Brad Little, join them.
A new military musical, ‘Meissa’s Song’
The military musical is one of several cultural activities that the South Korean military supports to promote creativity and offer an artistic outlet for actively serving.
Pre-productions began in May, and it was reported that 41 troops had taken part, including Myungsoo, who is now serving in the Marines, Daehyun, a Corporal, and Chanyeol, an Army Private.
Meissa’s Song: Us beneath the stars in the desert is a patriotic song about a protagonist who refers to the soldier guarding him as Meissa. It denotes a bright life that inspires optimism in the face of adversity.
The military has also stated that owing to the current Covid-19 epidemic in the nation. The performances would be placed at the Seoul Olympic Park’s Woori Financial Art Hall from October 15 to November 27. From October 15 to 17, the concerts will be broadcast live online.

Details about the show
In November, the decision on whether or not to have a physical audience will be made. Tickets for the performance will be published on the production’s Instagram account towards the end of September.
The producers also provided a summary through Instagram. In Meissa’s Song, Chanyeol plays Raman, a character from the fictional nation of Kamur, which is engaged in a civil war.
He goes to Korea for a K-pop audition through the UN’s peacekeeping troops and becomes acquainted with Korean culture.
Myungsoo and Daehyun have been cast as Yeon Joon-seok, an unambitious soldier who volunteers to go to Kamur. Yoon Seon-ho, played by Moon Yong-suk, is a global peace activist who joins Joon-seok in Kamur.
