EXO has had an exciting year with two members returning from the military.
Xiumin and D.O. returned from military service to take part in the group’s latest Don’t Fight The Feeling comeback. The two actors are also busy acting in films and musicals. EXO-LS is well fed because we also get solo debuts. Xiumin announced that he was currently working on his solo project, while D.O.’s solo debut album, Empathy, will be released on July 26.
Since 2019, most of the members have made their solo debuts gradually. Fans were curious when D.O. or Xiumin would make their solo debuts. They are the sixth to seventh solo debutants from the nine-member group. EXO D.O. announced his solo debut on a special date.
His enlistment was on July 1, 2019, and his professional career was suspended. Two years later, things came full circle when his solo debut was announced on July 1, 2021. This is everything you need to know about the multilingual album.
D.O.’s upcoming album
The album ‘Empathy’ and the music video for the title song, Rose, will be released July 26 at 6 PM KST (July 27, 5 AM ET).
The official YouTube channel of SM will host the music video. All major music streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and MelOn, will have the album.

D.O.’s self-written songs
D.O. wrote all the Korean lyrics to Rose. The song is romantic and folk-pop with many acoustic melodies. The English version will be an OST for a romantic drama in high school. Wonstein, a rapper, and singer, wrote the lyrics to I’m Going To Love You. He also wrote lyrics to ‘I’m Fine.
It’s Love is an acoustic pop tune with Latin vibes. Many wondered how D.O. would incorporate the upbeat, brass-instrumented track into his mellow album.
However, it appears that he will take a different route from the Latin-pop songs. D.O. will accompany the song with his soft, calm vocals. It is a reminder of how love can seem dull before you realize how much you long for it and attempt to find it again. Because it is more in line with the genre, he has included a Spanish version.
