Bethesda is going to celebrate a special day based on Fallout lore which is the date when the bombs drop. They have a few surprises including for, Fallout 76 as they are offering a special opportunity to try out the game.
In the lore of Fallout, the bombs dropped on Oct. 23. Bethesda has since dubbed this as Bombs Drop day. In celebration of the occasion, the developer has a few surprises for players and those who are interested to play, Fallout 76.
Free-to-play week
Those who’ve yet to play the MMORPG can now do so for free for a week. As per Bethesda, the game will be free-to-play from Oct. 20 to 26 so players so take this opportunity to try this out. If players like the game, they can easily buy it at a discounted price the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam.
The free-to-play week will include access to the game’s DLCs. This means players can also enjoy the content from Wastelanders and Nuclear Winter.
What’s even better is that players will be able to carry over their progress in the free week once they buy the full game. It’s worth noting that an Xbox Live Gold membership will be required to play the game.

Fallout 76 will also be getting a few special in-game events. For starters, there will be a total of three in-game events from Oct. 22-26. During the week, players will also get Double S.C.O.R.E., Double XP and a 25% discount off of Legendary weapons and armor at the Rusty Pick.
Bethesda is also trying out the Fallout 1st membership through the Fallout 1st Preview. Players will only need to log in the game between Oct. 20-26. Players will find the first free limited preview item in the Atomic Shop. There will be many benefits with the membership.
