Ellen DeGeneres recently announced her return on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and her plan to address its controversy on the air. Now, fans are airing their reactions to it.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show will be back on the air for its 18th season. Starting September 21, fans will once again see Ellen DeGeneres as the fan-favorite talk show host.
But after all the controversies, will everything be the same?
People’s reaction on DeGeneres’ return
“I can’t wait to get back to work and back to our studio,” DeGeneres announced her return on Ellen.
“And, yes, we’re gonna talk about it,” promising she would address the recent allegations thrown against her and the show.
In a post of The Shade Room on Instagram, fans seemed to have mixed reactions about it.
“I need to be in the audience that day,” one fan said. “I know she will be giving everyone in attendance a helicopter and an elephant!”
A second fan added producers also had to give Nick Cannon his show back as DeGeneres could make a triumphant return.
“She gonna cry and then break into a dance and y’all gonna forgive her,” a third commenter chimed in.
“Well, Nick Cannon should be able to return back if Ellen can!” the fourth followed continued. “THIS IS AMERICA….!!! ….Absolutely NOTHING I want to hear!”
Some revealed they didn’t trust DeGeneres anymore after what happened. Another follower believed she would be back to bullying when she returned in front of the camera.
“Man y’all can keep that everybody excusing her behavior, making her feel even more entitled,” he said. “Sir we don’t want to see you on the TV anymore.”
They also question DeGeneres’ revelation that she had no idea about the alleged racism happening in the workplace. They strongly believed she was also a part of it.

DeGeneres’ return on the set
DeGeneres planned to do Ellen Show back on the Warner Bros. lot set, but without a live studio audience.
There would be a lot of guests upon the show’s return, Billboard noted. Fans are about to see Kerry Washington, Alec Baldwin, and Chrissy Teigen in the first week of the season. Viewers can expect to see more on the days to come.
Stephen “tWitch” Boss will also be part of the series’ come back to guest-host some show episodes. However, it is not yet revealed if he will be co-hosting Ellen DeGeneres or replacing her on select times.
