Marvel Studios is yet to find the new Logan, but fans have already started a petition to cast actor Jared Keeso as the MCU’s Wolverine.
Interestingly, the petition to cast Jared Keeso as MCU’s Wolverine has already got more than 2,900 signatures. For those who are unaware of the actor, he was in the TV series Letterkenny.
However, fans have many other reasons for why he deserves to be the new Logan in the franchise.
Fans want Jared Keeso as ‘Wolverine,’ no one else!
As per the online petitioners, Keeso is the perfect fit for the role of Logan. After seeing his performance in the sitcom Letterkenny, they seem highly impressed.
Plus, they think that physically, too, he makes for a great Wolverine in the MCU going forward.
Here’s what the fans mentioned in their petition:
“Watching a single episode of his show Letterkenny fully establishes how Mr. Keeso would be the perfect casting choice for Wolverine. He is actually Canadian; At 5’10”, he’s not overly tall; Already has years of experience playing a smoking tough guy; Already in damn good shape.”
So they have mentioned his height and his descent as well. Which directly matches with that of Logan’s in the comics.
At the moment, Hugh Jackman is the only actor who’s portrayed a great Wolverine on the big screen, although it was under Fox’s universe.
Whoever comes next will have huge shoes to fill in for sure. The pressure will be immense as well.
Fans are trusting Kevin Feige to make a good decision on this.
Upcoming MCU titles in the future
Meanwhile, amid all the rumors, petitions, and a pandemic, Marvel Studios is trying to return to its regular release cycle.
With WandaVision, it did make an impact, and from now on, it seems like the streak will only continue forward. The Disney Plus TV series will end this Friday after the final episode.
But then, there will be another MCU entry coming soon later this month. And it’s the Falcon and the Winter Soldier show starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.
Then there are other upcoming movies like Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and Eternals. But they might end up on Disney’s streaming platform instead of theaters because COVID-19 cases are still increasing throughout the globe.
Furthermore, the future slate looks packed with a stellar line-up of many anticipated shows and films: Loki, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Thor 4, Captain Marvel 2, and Black Panther 2.
Speaking of the plans regarding newly added properties like Wolverine and Fantastic Four, there’s still time for them. But hopefully, they will make their debut soon in the more extensive superhero cinematic universe in the world.
