Following the reveal of the official Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 title in PlayStation Showcase, fans are now speculating for a Venom spin-off.
Simply put, the level of excitement among fans has gone to a whole new level. Thanks to the hype for Marvel’s Venom 2 movie, everything these days seems to connect with the symbiote character. And it looks like Venom may soon appear in a video game too!
Will there be Marvel’s ‘Venom’ game from Insomniac?
Following the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man in 2018, there was a spin-off based on Miles Morales last year. The latter, as expected, turned out pretty great as well, becoming a blockbuster for Sony and Insomniac.
And recently, there was a reveal of a sequel to the Spider-Man reboot title three years ago.
While Peter Parker and Miles Morales will return in the sequel, there will be many supervillains.
Interestingly, at the end of the initial reveal clip, Insomniac teased Venom for the next big entry in the franchise. It simply means that the symbiote character will make his appearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Following the reveal of the anti-hero comic character, fans are speculating about his spin-off in the future. They want a standalone Venom game under Insomniac’s franchise. A game in which they can play as Eddie Brock!
A Reddit user recently suggested that post-Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Insomniac should work on a Venom spin-off. Just like it teased Miles Morales in the original entry and then brought his standalone title in 2020.
The user also stressed an interesting story as far as the symbiote’s character is concerned. And that he will make for a great protagonist for his narrative inside a video game.
